Puff Puff

2 cups flour
2 teaspoon yeast
1/2 sugar
2 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
A dash or nutmeg
A dash of clove powder
Vegetable oil


Heat up vegetable oil to 350 to 360 degrees.

Combine and mix flour, yeast, sugar and water, salt, clove powder and
nutmeg together to form a smooth batter.

Cover the batter and let rise for 2hrs.

Scoop up the batter with a deep spoon or an ice scream scooper and
gently drop the batter
in the frying oil.

Fry until golden brown on all sides.

Remove and drain off excess oil on a draining rack or paper napkin.

Serve with confectioners sugar and or with Jelly or preserve.

Hi, i tried dis recipe twice and it didnt come out right (once with blender and d other with hand) now i'm thinking it's d flour. please kindly specify whether to use plain flour or self-raising flour. thanks
