Nkwobi. Nigerian Food.


Cow Foot (1 pound) Boiled and deboned)

4 tbs palm oil + 2 tbs Olive Oil

1 chopped habanero

Edible potash (Akanwu)


Onion Powder

1 garlic clove (chopped)

Ground Crayfish

Utazi or Bitter leaf

Blended crayfish (1 cooking spoon)


Black pepper

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Half cup water/beef stock or Maggi (I didn't use Maggi because I try not to cook with MSG)


Heat up your oil @ med heat

Add chopped onions, habanero, garlic

Let fry for about a min or 2

Add water or stock

Add Potash/Akanwu, Utazi and cray fish.

Adjust seasoning with salt, paprika onion powder and Italian seasoning

Add cow foot

Gently mix everything together and simmer till done

Adjust seasoning ass needed.

The Idea is to create a tender/not so tender spicy cow feet dish with deep flavor.
