Efo Riro


Quantity according to preference and servings

Spinach or your choice of leafy vegetable
Dried fish
Dried shrimp
Fresh shrimp
Stock fish
1 Fresh tomato
1 red bell pepper
1 Onion
1 tsp chopped garlic
Habanero pepper
Half cup palm oil or Olive oil or a mixture of both
Salt to taste

Feel free to add any other ingredients like beef, turkey, tripe and or cow feet.

Blend tomato, onion, garlic, red bell pepper in a blender with a cup of water.


Heat up Oil on a pot at medium heat
Add blended ingredients and let cook 5-10 minutes
Add the rest of the ingredients except spinach and let cook for 5 minutes
Add salt to taste (Add Maggi if desired)
Add spinach and gently toss everything together
Adjust seasoning
Let cook 10-15 minutes at low heat
Let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.


Feel free to add other flavor enhancers like 1 tsp Italian seasoning, 1 tsp chipotle powder to add depth.

Use very little liquid to reduce cooking time

Stir gently to disperse liquid
